Night of November 11 and 12 on the Gulf of Mexico
These are not really pictures of the Gulf of Mexico - they just represent what we saw. My camera wouldn't capture the details anyway.
In the first picture, it's the water. Notice how black it is, and imagine five tiny green lights on your left on the horizon. Those tiny green lights gave us great comfort, reminding us that we were not alone out there on the Gulf.
This is the night sky like we saw it. Imagine it with zillions of tiny pin-pricks of white light, representing the stars. Some are in the shape of familiar constellations and a few are the bigger and brighter planets.
